Club Sections
Each section is thriving and hospitable, with players ranging in ability, some of whom have been part of the club for many years. Whether you are a seasoned competitor or an enthusiastic novice, you will find others alike and a membership option to suit you.
Women’s
Ladies Captain – Mrs Ruth Gwilliam At present we have more than 130 lady members with a well organised and well supported committee under the leadership of our Ladies’ President. We are always pleased to welcome new members and take special care to make it as easy as possible for them to settle into the club. Tuesday is the regular day for our section to get together and throughout the year there are many opportunities to play in competitions as well as to play socially. There are also opportunities to play competitively at weekends throughout the year. We have 3 teams who compete in the Cotswold and District Ladies Alliance in Division 1,2 and 3. The majority of these matches for these teams take place on a Monday afternoon although a few are scheduled for weekends. The ladies also have a great friendly team who have lots of fun playing other clubs in Gloucestershire. On Sunday afternoons throughout the summer there are friendly Mixed matches both home and away against other clubs in the County, and there are also mixed events within the club. As you can see, we have a very active group of lady golfers with a wide range of social and competitive events. If you are interested in joining our club we would like to meet you. Please call the office who can put you in touch with the relevant member of our committee. As a club we have also signed the R&A Women in Golf Charter which can be viewed by clicking the link below. |
