Cotswold Hills

Golf & Good Fellowship

Nestled in the rolling hills on the edge of Cheltenham, in an area of outstanding natural beauty not far from the M5 motorway, Cotswold Hills Golf Club boasts a rich, fascinating history and is treasured by both members and visitors alike.

Following the Government’s announcement on Sunday evening, we are very pleased to confirm that the course will open on Thursday 14 May for members of Cotswold Hills Golf Club. We will not be accepting visitor or guest green fees for the immediate future.

While this is great news for all of us, it is absolutely essential that we closely observe the requirements for a phased, safe and responsible return to golf. This communication summarises the key measures we are putting in place and also provides a link to a more detailed guide on how we intend to manage the transition. Please note that the Government’s announcement has required us to change some of the information we provided to you last week.

·         Tee times will be restricted to one ball or two balls. We are following the Government paper issued today which says that outdoor sports can be allowed if the person is alone, with a member of the same household, or with one other person from outside the household while keeping 2 metres apart at all times.

·         Tee times will be in place at 10-minute intervals and available from 8.30am to 6pm daily. Bookings must be made in advance using the ClubV1 members app or website link.  Booking will not be possible over the telephone or via the shop or office

·         Booking will be available from Wednesday 13th May at 8.30am with members able to book 24 hours in advance, and a maximum of one booking.

·         Due to the anticipated high demand, initially players will be restricted to one 9 hole every 3 days (72 hour period).  These measures will be kept under review, and any changes notified to members

·         Starters will be deployed at the 1st and 10th tees to try and ensure the system works as smoothly as possible. We will be heavily reliant on volunteers to assist with these and other aspects of our reopening and are extremely grateful for their help.

·         The clubhouse, locker rooms, driving range area and pro shop will not be open during this phase.

·         Full social distancing and hygiene protocols MUST be observed at all times.  We must ensure that the safety and wellbeing of everyone from golfers to staff and volunteers is the highest priority for all of us.

We look forward to seeing you all soon!
